CLEVELAND – The last NAIA Learfield Directors' Cup standings of the winter were updated Thursday to reflect the completion of the national cheer and dance championships, and Oklahoma City has taken the lead with 674.5 points.

Eastern Oregon, the Cascade Collegiate Conference's leader, was pushed down one spot to fifth place with 479 points. Elsewhere in the CCC, College of Idaho is 15th (347.5), Southern Oregon is 22nd (322.5), Oregon Tech is 51st (214), Northwest Christian is 72nd (143) and Corban is 74th (142).

A total of 177 NAIA schools are on the board this year thanks to their performances at national championship events.

Lindsey Wilson (Ky.) is in second with 532 points. Morningside (Iowa) made a six-spot jump to third place with 489 points after a sixth place finish in the dance championship, and Hastings (Neb.) (482) is fourth.

The Sooner, Great Plains, Golden State and Chicagoland Conferences lead all NAIA conferences in the top 10 with two institutions each – Oklahoma City (1st) and Wayland Baptist (8th) from the Sooner, Morningside (3rd) and Hastings (4th) from the Great Plains, Biola (6th) and Westmont (7th) from the Golden State and from the Chicagoland, Olivet Nazarene (9th) and St. Francis (IL) (10th).

The Learfield Directors’ Cup was developed as a joint effort between the National Association of Collegiate Directors of Athletics (NACDA) and USA Today. 

The next NAIA standings will be released Thursday, May 25.
