CALDWELL, Idaho – Kelsey Randall had six of the 24 Southern Oregon hits, as the Raiders closed out a four-game series with the College of Idaho with a doubleheader sweep of the Lady Yotes at Symms Field.

The Raiders (14-4, 2-1 CCC) used a six-run fourth inning to erase a C of I lead in a 13-7 Game 1 win, adding a pair of 2-run homers in an 8-4 victory in Game 2.

SOU was staked to an early 3-0 lead in the opener, as Harlee Donovan doubled in a run in the first and scored on a Taylor Martinez single, while two innings later, Donovan plated a run with an infield single.

The Lady Yotes (3-8, 1-2) batted around in their third – scoring four times to take the lead. C of I took advantage of two Raiders errors, getting a pair of runs on a Rickey Kamimae bases loaded fielders' choice – as the throw home was off line; adding a run on a Katelyn Geyer infield single and a Kristin Paulazzo sacrifice fly.

The Raiders countered in the fourth – taking advantage of three C of I miscues to plate five unearned runs. Karlee Coughlin had a two-run single and Hannah Wessel added an RBI knock in the rally.

Lexie Raasch got the win in relief for SOU, while Coughlin got the final nine outs for a save.  Randall and Aaliyah Oliver each had three hits in the win, with Tyler Burke driving in three.  Trystin Crofts and Martha Tooley each had two hits for the Yotes – who allowed eight unearned runs in the contest.

SOU started quickly in Game 2 – getting a two-run bomb from Martinez in the first and a two-run shot from Burke in the second – to lead 6-0.

C of I chipped away, getting an RBI double from Delaney Atkins and a Geyer RBI single in the third to cut the margin to 6-2, while an Atkins two-run single in the fourth made it a two-run game.  However, reliever Victoria Mackey retired the final 10 C of I batters in order to earn the victory.

Randall was 3-for-5 with a triple and two runs scored – the only Southern player with more than one hit.  Geyer was 3-for-3 and Atkins went 3-for-4 in the loss for the Yotes.

C of I returns to action next weekend with a four-game road series at Oregon Tech.
