The following CCC student-athletes have been recognized as Red Lion Players of the Week for their performances during the period of April 3-9:

Baseball-Pitcher
Corban’s Kris Jackson has been named the Red Lion baseball Pitcher of the Week.

Jackson, a junior from Post Falls, Idaho, struck out 10 in a complete-game victory Sunday against College of Idaho. The only run he allowed in the 4-1 decision was of the unearned variety, as he held the Yotes to five hits and issued just one walk.

Honorable mention: Connor Brogdon, Lewis-Clark State

Softball-Pitcher
Eastern Oregon’s Hailey Kline has been named the Red Lion softball Pitcher of the Week.

Kline, a junior from Pendleton, Ore., threw complete games in the Mountaineers’ 2-1 and 1-0 victories against Northwest without allowing an earned run. In the first, she tied a career-high with 12 strikeouts. She fanned 19 compared to five walks on the weekend, tossing five-hitters in both outings to improve to 13-5.

Honorable mention: Sabrina Boyd, Corban

Softball-Player
Corban’s Jessie Isham has been named the Red Lion softball Player of the Week.

Isham, a sophomore catcher from Salem, batted 9-for-14 with three home runs, a double and nine RBI in the Warriors’ four-game weekend sweep of Great Falls. She scored nine runs – at least two in every game – while reaching base at a .688 clip to help Corban maintain its slim lead in first place. She’s now hit 11 home runs this season, the most in the CCC.

Honorable mention: Taylor Martinez, Southern Oregon; Destiny Turner, College of Idaho

Men’s Outdoor-Track
Southern Oregon sprinter Matt East has been named the Red Lion men’s outdoor Track Athlete of the Week.

East, a redshirt-junior from Modesto, Calif., won the 100-meter dash (10.56 seconds) and the 200-meter dash (21.87) among fields of 46 and 37, respectively, Saturday at the Chico State Twilight/Invitational. His time in the 100 made him an auto qualifier for the NAIA Championships, put him at No. 6 on the national list and was two-hundredths of a second off a 19-year-old CCC record. He also anchored SOU's 4x100-meter relay win as the Raiders moved up to No. 8 on the NAIA list with their latest 'B' mark of 41.56.

Honorable mention: Jack Roberts, Oregon Tech; TJ Randle, Northwest

Men’s Outdoor-Field
The Evergreen State College’s Zeb Hoffman has been named the Red Lion men’s outdoor Field Athlete of the Week.

Hoffman, a senior from Olympia, Wash., won the hammer Saturday at the Pacific Luau with a throw of 194 feet 5 inches (59.25m). The defending NAIA champion in the discipline currently ranks fourth on the national list.

Honorable mention: Zach Beltz, Southern Oregon

Women’s Outdoor-Track
Northwest Christian’s Shea Vallaire has been named the Red Lion women’s outdoor Track Athlete of the Week.

Vallaire, a senior from Lake Oswego, Ore., became an automatic qualifier for the NAIA Championships in the 10,000 meters Friday by winning the John Knight Twilight in 36 minutes 14.50 seconds. Hers was the second-fastest time nationally this season, and it tops the CCC list by over a minute. Also an auto qualifier in the 5K, Vallaire’s  two-minute victory put her at No. 4 on the all-time NCU list.

Honorable mention: Rakayla Tyler, Southern Oregon

Women’s Outdoor-Field
Northwest Christian’s Bailey Dell has been named the Red Lion women’s outdoor Field Athlete of the Week for the fourth time this season.

Dell, a junior from La Salle, Ontario, once again passed the NAIA’A’ standard for the javelin with ease, throwing 146 feet 10 inches (44.76m) to place second of 19 Friday at the John Knight Twilight. The only individual she was behind was an NCAA Division I thrower, and she still sits at No. 2 on the NAIA list (49.52m).

Honorable mention: Harley McBride, Eastern Oregon

Men’s Golf
Corban’s Devery Stewart has been named the Red Lion Men’s Golfer of the Week.

Stewart, a sophomore from Plain City, Utah, was the medalist at the Multnomah Invite on Tuesday at the Stone Creek Golf Club in Oregon City. In a seven-team field of 49 golfers, he finished at 3-under par after three rounds of action – shooting 68, 76 and 69 on successive days to win by four strokes. He also led the Warriors to the team title, besting Oregon Tech by 10 strokes.

Women’s Golf
Corban’s Carrie Wallace has been named the Red Lion Women’s Golfer of the Week.

Wallace, a senior from La Grande, Ore., took medalist honors Tuesday at the Multnomah Invite and led the Warriors to a one-stroke team victory, their first CCC tournament win of the season. After shooting 76 in the first round, she came from behind with a career-best round of 1-over par 73 on day two that gave her a four-stroke win in a field of 25 golfers.
