NU's Randle a Double Winner at Arlt Meet
ELLENSBURG, Wash. – The Eagles competed in the annual Spike Arlt Invitational at Central Washington University Saturday and came away with some impressive marks.
Top finisher of the day was TJ Randle as he emerged a double winner in the 110m and 400m hurdles including setting a NAIA “A” standard time in the 400m hurdles. Randle won the event with a 52.92 under the “A” standard time of 53.80 which would be the #2 time in the NAIA this season. Randle ran a 15.22 for the 110m hurdles defeating 14 other entrants in winning his heat and finishing on top of the finals.
Kyle Cole took second place in the men’s 3000m run coming in with a time of 9:07.91. Riley Sine took 5
th in the men’s 1500m run crossing the finish line in 4:09.55 and Cameron Siler was 5
th in the men’s 800m run at 1:59.72.
On the women’s side, CarrieAnne Steele won the women’s long jump with a leap of 5.09m, just .40m off the NAIA “B” standard distance. Steele also took 5
th in the triple jump with a distance of 10.66m. Michelle Perez was a third place finisher in the 800m in a field of 17 runners posting a time of 2:24.77. Anna Miller was 5
th in the javelin setting her second NAIA “A” mark of 41.12, but has a better throw and “A” mark of 41.36 established earlier this season. Paige DeLapp was 8
th in the 1500m with her time of 5:32.43.
