SPRINGFIELD, Ore. – Regular Season Champion Oregon Tech cruised to a 33-shot victory to take the Cascade Collegiate Conference Tournament Championship, presented by U.S. Bank. The Owls’ Janelle Ferlan won Medalist Honors with an eight-shot win in the individual race.
 
The Owls shot a tournament-best 317 in Tuesday’s second round, posting a winning score of 643, easily surpassing second-place Corban University who shot a 676. The College of Idaho was third (685), followed by Walla Walla in fourth (1051).
 
Ferlan shot a 79 on Tuesday, earning a final score of 153 to defeat Corban’s Casey Jansen (161). OIT’s Stephanie Koza and Corban’s Carrie Wallace tied for third place at 162 and Natalie Mullins from The College of Idaho followed closely in fifth place (164).  
 
Oregon Tech earned the CCC’s automatic bid to the NAIA National Championship, May 23-26 at PGA National in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida.
 
In addition to winning the CCC tournament, Ferlan clinched her second consecutive CCC Player of the Year honor as she finished with the lowest stroke average during conference play. OIT coach Jeff Corkill was named CCC Coach of the Year.
