Red Lion Players of the Week Announced
The following CCC student-athletes have been recognized as Red Lion Players of the Week for their performances during the period of March 27-April 2.
Matt Fish
Baseball-Pitcher
Lewis-Clark State’s Matt Fish has been named the Red Lion baseball Pitcher of the Week.
Fish, a senior from Kalamazoo, MI., threw a complete-game shutout over British Columbia in the first game on Saturday allowing only three hits while striking out four. The T-Bird’s defeated the Warriors 3-0.

Alexis Paz
Baseball-Player
Oregon Tech’s Alexis Paz has been named the Red Lion baseball Player of the Week.
Paz, a freshman from Upland, Calif., went 13-for-20 at the plate helping the Owls to a 4-2 record on the week going 1-1 against Simpson and taking the NAIA West series against Corban 3-1.
Paz hit .591 with 7-RBI and 7-runs scored.

Reed Burroughs
Men’s Golf
The College of Idaho’s Reed Burroughs has been named the Red Lion men’s golf Athlete of the Week.
Burroughs, a junior from Chandler, AZ., carded rounds of 76, 78 and 72 at the Northwest Nazarene invitational. His plus ten stroke total was good for 11
th place among 26 golfers in the event.

Austin Kilcup
Men’s Outdoor-Field
Eastern Oregon’s Austin Kilcup has been named the Red Lion men’s outdoor Field Athlete of the Week.
Kilcup, a sophomore form Gig Harbor, Wash., took third place in the javelin at the Jenn Boyman Invitational with a throw of 57.43 meters.
The mark earned Kilcup an NAIA “A” standard, as well as, a new personal best.

TJ Wright
Men’s Outdoor-Track
Northwest Christian’s TJ Wright has been named the Red Lion men’s outdoor Track Athlete of the Week.
Wright, a junior from Eugene, Ore., placed 10
th out of 75 runners in the 3000meter Steeple chase at the San Francisco Distance Carnival. His time of 9:05.86 is the fastest in the NAIA so far this season. Wright also broke the NCU school record by 13 seconds.

Loryn Williams
Softball-Pitcher
Oregon Tech’s Loryn Williams has been named the Red Lion softball Pitcher of the Week.
Williams, a sophomore from Portland, Ore., pitched 25 innings in six appearances on the week against (RV) Corban and Northwest Christian. In all, Williams earned two wins in the Corban matchup helping the Lady Owls take the series, as well as, two wins and a save against the Beacons.

Tara Moates
Softball-Player
Oregon Tech’s Tara Moates has been named the Red Lion softball Player of the Week.
Moates, a junior from Klamath Falls, Ore., went 13-for-30 in eight games for a .433 batting average while driving in 7 runs. Moates helped the No. 22 ranked Lady Owls to a 6-2 record on the week winning the series against Corban and Northwest Christian. 8 of her 13 hits were doubles.

Natalie Mullins
Women’s Golf
The College of Idaho’s Natalie Mullins has been named the Red Lion women’s golf Athlete of the Week.
Mullins, a sophomore form Eagle, ID.,, carded rounds of 83 and 75 at the Northwest Nazarene Invitation to help the Yotes to their lowest team round of the season at 313. Mullins placed 2
nd among 20 golfers.

Brooklyn Daylong
Women’s Outdoor-Field
The College of Idaho’s Brooklyn Daylong has been named the Red Lion women’s outdoor Field Athlete of the Week.
Daylong, a sophomore form Caldwell, Idaho, hit the NAIA "A" standard in the discus and the CCC mark in the javelin. Her discuss toss of 144-3 is the he top mark in the CCC this year and No. 4 on the C of I all-time list.

Michelle Fletcher
Women’s Outdoor-Track
Northwest Christian’s Michelle Fletcher has been named the Red Lion women’s outdoor Field Athlete of the Week.
Fletcher, a senior from Kennewick, Wash., hit the NAIA “A” standard in the Steeplechase competing at the San Francisco Distance carnival. Her time of 10:51.64 is the second fastest in the NAIA this season.
