LA GRANDE, Ore. - If sports programs thought they had a leg up on mother nature they would be sorely mistaken. Heavy rain in the forecast for Vancouver B.C. and Salem, Oregon have forced changes in the upcoming post season championship tournaments.

The NAIA West Baseball tournament scheduled to be held at The University of British Columbia and the CCC Softball tournament slated for Corban University were to start on Friday morning. Because of the predicted rains, and concern in ability to get games in as scheduled, the tournaments have each been pushed back to a Saturday start. Weather forecasts improve dramatically at both locations starting Saturday.

At stake for the tournament winners is an automatic qualification to the NAIA Baseball and Softball World Series.
