Red Lions Players of the Week Announced
The following CCC student-athletes have been recognized as Red Lion Players of the Week for their performances during the period of May 1-7:
Men’s Outdoor-Track
Northwest hurdler TJ Randle has been named the Red Lion men’s outdoor Track Athlete of the Week for the second week in a row.
Randle, a junior from Tacoma, Wash., won a 400-meter hurdles race for the third week in a row with an NAIA ‘A’ time of 53.14 seconds
Friday at University of Washington’s Ken Shannon Invitational, coming from behind to defeat a predominantly NCAA field yet again. His best of 52.92, established earlier this year, still ranks No. 2 in the NAIA.

Men’s Outdoor-Field
Southern Oregon jumper Zach Beltz has been named the Red Lion men’s outdoor Field Athlete of the Week for the third time this season.
Friday at the Oregon Twilight, Beltz, a sophomore from Elmira, Ore., won the long jump with a new PR of 24 feet 2 ¼ inches to go to No. 7 on the national list. He place second in the triple jump, too, with a mark of 46-8, his second-best this season. He tops the CCC by wide margins in both categories.
Women’s Outdoor-Track
Oregon Tech’s Margaret Paul has been named the Red Lion women’s outdoor Track Athlete of the Week.
Paul, a sophomore from Boring, Ore., led the Owls with a win and season-best in the 100 meters of 12.43 seconds – the second-fastest time in school history –
on Friday at the Linfield Open. Paul also anchored the runner-up 4x100 relay team, which clocked in at a season-best 49.09 – the third-fastest time in school history.
Women’s Outdoor-Field
Northwest Christian’s Bailey Dell has been named the Red Lion women’s outdoor Field Athlete of the Week for the sixth time this season.
Dell, a junior from La Salle, Ontario, was second overall and the top collegiate finisher with a mark of 46.49 meters
Friday at the Oregon Twilight. She hit an "A" standard and continues to be ranked No. 1 in the CCC and No. 2 in the NAIA.
