NU's Hannah Nicholson scored the lone goal for the Eagles Mustangs Corral Eagles 8/19/2017 2:08:41 PM SANTA CLARITA, Calif. – The Master's University Mustangs' defense held No. 8 Northwest University scoreless for 64 minutes on their way to a 3-1 non-conference victory on Reese Field this morning. TMU (RV) took the lead early in the first half when Jasmine Parada scored unassisted to put the Mustangs ahead 1-0 in the 17th minute. Hailey Gomillion made it a 2-0 game with her goal at the 20:33 mark on an assist by teammate Vanessa Lourenco. The Master's defense would limit the Eagles to 7 shots in the game and only two shots on goal. Northwest U would finally get on the scoreboard and close the gap to 2-1 in the 65th minute when Hannah Nicholson scored unassisted. But, the Mustangs would put the game away at 80:48 when Parada would score her second goal of the game after Sarah Stead's shot was blocked. Northwest U (1-1) will now travel to Lancaster, Calif., to play the University of Antelope Valley on Monday, Aug. 21, in a doubleheader with the NU men.
