SALEM, Ore. – The No. 15-ranked Corban University volleyball team continued its hot start to its 2017 Cascade Collegiate Conference (CCC) campaign, winning its fourth-straight conference match in straight sets to remain the only undefeated team in CCC play. The Warriors defeated The Evergreen State College on Saturday night (25-19, 25-22, 27-25) to cap off the successful weekend.

“Evergreen is a very scrappy and offensive team,” said Corban head coach Kim McLain. “They came out ready to compete. At times, we struggled with passing, which made it more difficult to run our offense. It’s always great to get another conference win under our belt.”

Corban hit at a .287 clip on the night while holding Evergreen to just a .191 mark.

The Warriors were led offensively by Amber Parker, as she swung for 13 kills on just three errors, while Adriana Aguayo also tallied 13 kills on just four errors.

Haley Wells was the defensive standout for the Navy and Gold with 14 digs, while Lauren Condon recorded 12 digs in the win. At the net, Marandah Boeder racked up a team-best four block assists.

Dishing out the assists was Madison McLain with a team-best 27 on the night, while Cierra Leopoldino totaled 18.

For Evergreen, Chloee Hunt notched 12 kills to lead the way, while Natalie Taylor recorded nine kills.

Corban (9-4, 4-0 CCC) returns to the court next Friday at Northwest Christian University. First serve is slated for 7 p.m.
