Red Lion Players of the Week Announced

 The following CCC student-athletes have been recognized as Red Lion Players of the Week for their performances during the period September 4 - 10.

Mark French

Men’s Cross Country

Mark French of Oregon Tech. has been named the Red Lion men’s cross country Runner of the Week French, a sophomore from Tualatin, Ore., won the 8K distance event in running a personal best of 25:06. French not only defeated two nationally ranked NCAA DII teams and runners, but is now 3rd All-Time at Oregon Tech.

Langdon Roscoe

Men’s Soccer – Defense

Corban’s Langdon Roscoe has been named the Red Lion men’s soccer Defensive Player of the Week. Roscoe, a senior from Vancouver Wash., was an essential piece in Corban’s two shutouts over the weekend. Roscoe not only went the full 110 minutes in a double overtime draw against Westmont, he then led the Warriors to the shutout victory (4-0) over Linfieid.

Carter Perry

Men’s Soccer - Offense

Carter Perry of College of Idaho has been named the Red Lion men’s soccer Offensive Player of the Week. Perry, a junior Forward from Boise, ID, aided in the Yotes’ two road wins over the week with 5 goals and one assist.

Amber Parker

Volleyball - Attacker

Corban’s Amber Parker has been chosen as the Red Lion volleyball attacker of the week. Parker, a senior from Albany, Ore., lead the Warriors to a pair of straight-set victories over the weekend. Parker was on fire with a total of 16 kills on Friday against Northwest, an attack percentage of .577, then 13 more kills on Saturday.

Haley Damian

Volleyball - Defender

Haley Damian of Northwest Christian has been chosen as the Red Lion volleyball defender of the week. Damian, a senior from Eugene, Ore., had a very strong weekend averaging 5.86 digs per set over the two sets. Damian remains only four digs away from her 1000th dig of her career.

Maci Beierle

Volleyball-Setter

Maci Beierle of Northwest Christian has been named the Red Lion volleyball Setter of the Week. Beierle, a senior from Yakima, Wash., maintained a strong weekend for distributing the ball. During the two sets, Beierle totaled 75 assists, averaging 10.7 assists per set, while putting up a strong defensive end with 25 digs.

Danielle De Castro

Women’s Cross Country

Danielle De Castro of Oregon Tech. has been named the Red Lion women’s cross country Runner of the Week De Castro, a junior from Seattle, Wash., ran a strong 21:56 race, leading Oregon Tech to a 2nd place team finish. During Friday’s race, Danielle dropped 3 minutes off her personal best putting her in 2nd All-Time for the Owls.

Devan Murfitt

Women’s Soccer – Defense

Devan Murfitt of Carroll College has been named the Red Lion women’s soccer Defensive Player of the Week. Murfitt, a junior Goalie from Bozeman, Mont., achieved two shutouts to close the week against a pair of NCAA DIII opponents on the road. Over the week, Murfitt totaled 10 saves.

Lauryn Gamache

Women’s Soccer – Offense

Rocky Mountain’s Lauryn Gamache has been named the Red Lion women’s soccer Offensive Player of the Week. Gamache, a sophomore Forward from St. Louis, MO, scored one goal on five shots in the Bears’ win over UC Santa Cruz. Gamache followed with two goals in the team’s second win of the weekend over Providence.
