La Grande, Ore.-
With the November 4th conference men's and women's cross country championships looming, teams descended on the Grande Ronde Valley to get a glimpse at the championship course and run in the CCC preview hosted by Eastern Oregon University.

Held at Lane Farms, a working potato farm owned by Rob and Carrie Lane, The College of Idaho women took home first place honors in the 5k race while LC-State, a non-conference entry into the meet, was first in the men's 8k standings. The College of Idaho men placed second and were the highest finishing CCC team behind LCSC.

Molly Vitale-Sullivan of No. 4 College of Idaho took medalist honors, crossing the finish line in 18:38.30. The Coyotes claimed the team title with 39 points. Oregon Tech finished second with a team total of 69 points. Junior, Danielle De Castro led the Lady Owls with a third place individual finish and a time of 18:57.80. Corban University rounded out the top three with 108 team points.

While running unattached, Sam Atkins blistered the course to win the individual men's title with a time of 24:33.20. LCSC runner Nolan Ryan led the Warriors with a time of 25:32.20. Oregon Tech's Mark French was the highest CCC place winner coming in right behind Ryan with a time of 25:33.60. LCSC's 62 points was good enough for the team title while CI's 66 points earned the Yotes second place overall. Hosts, EOU claimed third place with 79 points.

CCC teams will run in various meets the next several weeks leading up to a return to Lane Farms to determine league champions.
