Quoting Coach Corey Mehl: "Our three guys all improved by significant chunks from last week at Saint Martin's. Daniel improved by over a minute to run 27:35 after clocking 28:52 last week; he's less than 30 seconds off his best time ever in the 8K distance. Keegan had the best race of his career by running 27:57; his previous best 8K was last season at 29:09. Tremendous race by him. Zeke, in only his second 8K ever, dropped an astonishing two minutes from last week, finishing in 28:28. … I really challenged both teams (men and women) to get out hard and fast during the first mile today, and every single runner responded accordingly and set themselves up for a great race. We are at the halfway point of our season and I'm super encouraged by our progress so far."
Next: Multnomah will compete in the Wes Cook Invitational hosted by George Fox University at Willamette Mission State Park in Brooks, Ore., on Saturday, Oct. 14. The first race is scheduled to begin at 9:00 a.m.
