Wolves Let Lead Slip Away Against Lions

College Place, Wash. –After taking a four-point lead into the half, the Wolves watched the Lion's rain down 13 second half three's that would be the difference in a 75-68 loss.  Multnomah how 57% from the three-point line as they swept the Wolves on the road this week.

Walla Walla worked the ball through the paint during the first half, taking advantage of their size.  A jumper from Cameron Silver gave the Wolves a 21-14 lead with eight minutes remaining on the clock.  The Wolves defense combined with cold shooting from Multnomah kept the Lions from getting many quality looks on offense.  After being up as much as nine points, Walla Walla's lead began to slip away.  A three-pointer from Multnomah's Trey Fountain brought the Lions within two points, but Dylan Browning answered with a layup and the Wolves took a 29-25 lead into the break. 

The Second period started off well for Walla Walla, and after a three from Michael Isotalo, the Wolves were up 42-36 with just under 15 minutes remaining.  After that, the Lions brought the rain to Windemuth court.  Brett Blackstock hit seven three's in the game and many down the stretch.  While the Lions finished hot, the Wolves managed only managed to shoot 36% from the field.  After holding onto a small lead, Multnomah when up by 11 after a Blackstock three with 3:55 on the clock.  Walla Walla was not able to make up the difference in a 77-68 defeat. 

Blackstock led all scorers with 29 points.  Walla Walla's Dylan Browning had a team-high 13-points, and Dinesh Brown pulled down 9 rebounds to go along with his 9 points.
Walla Walla is on the Road for a back-to-back against The College of Idaho next week.
