Visiting Northwest Christian turned an 11-point halftime deficit into a 91-83 Cascade Collegiate Conference men's basketball win over the host Evergreen Geoducks on Saturday night inside Costantino Recreation Center.

The Beacons (10-10 overall, CCC 6-7) outscored the hosts, 53-34, in the second half. Brock Rice came off the bench to shoot 6-for-8 from beyond the three-point line in leading NCU with 25 points.

Pat Ling scored a game-high 26 points for the Geoducks (5-19, 4-11), who also got 14 points and a game-high 13 rebounds from Ryan Quigley.

For the second straight night the Geoducks shot the ball well in the opening half, this time shooting 76 percent from the field (22-for-29), to build a 49-38 advantage. They did hamper their own effort with 14 turnovers during that time, but with Ling scoring 17 points and Jaurence Chisholm adding 10 the hosts seemed on their way to sweeping their weekend opponents.

Northwest Christian came out strong in the second half, however, scoring 12 unanswered points to pull within a point at 51-50 less than three minutes into the period. Austin Tyner hit a pair of three-pointers on either end of the run and Davonte Cleveland scored the other six points.

A 12-2 spurt by the visitors, capped by a Tyrus Hosley three, turned a one-point Evergreen lead into a 73-64 NCU advantage with 7:07 remaining, and the visitors stayed on top the rest of the way.

In addition to Ling's 26 points and Quigley's double-double, Chisholm scored 16 points and Dustin Meade added 11. Evergreen shot 59 percent overall (34-for-58) and had a 29-25 edge in rebounds.

In addition to Rice getting his 25 points, Tyner was 5-for-7 from distance in scoring 18 points, Michael Loomis had 16 points and nine rebounds, and Cleveland contributed 13 points. The Beacons shot 50 percent overall (31-for-62), including 46 percent from three-point range (16-for-35).
