Red Lion Players of the Week Announced
The following CCC student-athletes have been recognized as Red Lion Players of the Week for their performances during the period Janurary 22-28.
Pat Ling
Men’s Basketball
Pat Ling of Evergreen has been named the Red Lion Men’s Basketball Player of the Week.
Ling, a junior guard from Lakewood, Wash., scored a careerhigh of 31 points in leading Evergreen to the victory over Corban. Additionally, he added 26 points in the loss to Northwest Christian. For the weekend, Ling averaged 28.5 points, 3.0 rebounds and 3.5 assists while shooting 64.1 percent from the field and 50.0 from the three-point range.

TJ Randle
Men’s Indoor - Track
Tj Randle of Northwest has been named the Red Lion Men’s Indoor Track Athlete of the Week.
Randle, a senior from Tacoma, Wash., won his heat and finished 14th overall as the only NAIA entrant in a field of 33 runners from predominantly NCAA Division I schools at the University of Washington Indoor Invitational. In this event only .74 seconds decided the 9th through 14th place finishes. Randle bettered his previous best by over a second, running an adjusted time of 50.57, just .57 seconds off the NAIA “B” standard.

Bruce Valdez
Wrestling
Menlo’s Bruce Valdez has been named the Red Lion Wrestler of the Week.
Valdez, a junior from Beaumont, Calif., competed at the annual California Collegiate Open in San Francisco and won the 184 weight class with a 4-0 record. Valdez won three decisions and one by fall to claim the tournament title and helped the Oaks to a 5
th place team finish.

Anamaria Virjoghe
Women’s Basketball
Northwest Christian’s Anamaria Virjoghe has been named the Red Lion Women’s Basketball Player of the Week.
Virjoghe, a freshman center from Targoviste, Romania, had a strong weekend as NCU won two road games. She tied her career-high with 27 points against Evergreen and had six points in the final two minutes as NCU held off a late charge by the upset-minded Geoducks.
