After Jasdeep Singh would tie the game at 4-4, EOU would go on a 10-0 run capped off by Cole Ashby’s 3-pointer to lead 14-4. Singh would make it a 30-15 game at the 8:49 mark, but Said Herst would answer with a three of his own to push the EOU lead to 33-15. NU would whittle the Mounties’ lead down to 9, 35-26, but would answer with a basket as they would go on to take a 41-31 lead at halftime. The second half would remain an uphill battle for Northwest U as they would not be able to make up any ground. Max McCullough would hit a 3-pointer with 9:57 left in the game to increase the EOU lead to 63-43, their largest lead of the game. With NU forced to foul at the end of the game, Peter Eke would go 4 for 4 from the free throw line in the final 24 seconds to give the Mountaineers the win. Northwest U (8-10, 2-6 CCC) was led by Tre Benton's 19 points as the Eagles would shoot 36% for the game. Freshman Jasdeep Singh added 9 points for NU. Led by Max McCullough's 23 points and 8 rebounds, EOU (14-3, 6-3 CCC) would have five players finish in double figures including: Jordan May 19 points, Peter Eke 11, Cole Ashby 10, and Austin Winegar with 10 points.
