Battlin' Bears vanquish Warriors
BILLINGS, Mont. – The Battlin' Bears (6-5-1, 2-4-1 CCC) knocked down the Corban Warriors (7-6, 4-4 CCC) Friday afternoon.
Carried by the momentum of their first conference win last Sunday, the Battlin' Bears have now won two in a row and seemed to have finally shook off a period of three weeks without a single goal.
Corban scored first. Rylee Macdonald sank a goal in off of an assist from Lexi McQueary in the ninth minute.
Mhari Smith took a ball from Amber Pearson and tied the game for the Battlin' Bears in the 22nd minute.
Rocky's game winning goal would go to Emily Browne who found the back of the net off an assist from Tiara Duford.
Rocky's offensive attack led to a 23-10 shot advantage over Corban.
Maia Wetzel, Rocky's goalkeeper, pulled in five saves with a single goal allowed. Corban's Elizabeth Brock allowed two goals with 11 saves.
Rocky will host Northwest Christian on Sunday, Oct. 14 at Wendy's Field. The game will start at noon.
