Battlin' Bears secure 4-0 victory over the Beacons
BILLINGS, Mont. – The Rocky Mountain College men's soccer team secured a 4-0 victory over Northwest Christian.
Fresh off a loss to Corban on Friday, the Battlin' Bears' (11-3, 7-2) were looking to bounce back and pull in another conference win..
Finn Lane kick-started the Battlin' Bears offense with a goal in the 18th minute off an assist from Jonah Gronmayer.
Tulio Melo knocked in a goal with an assist from Marco Kummerle nearly ten minutes later in the 29th minute.
Milo Downey put a ball off Adrian Lopez into the net in the 58th minute.
Mason Luse scored the final goal of the match on his own in the 70th minute.
Rocky's offensive firepower proved too much for the Beacons. The Battlin' Bears held a 19-7 shot advantage.
Rocky goalkeeper Kristofer Wennin pulled in three save with no goals allowed. Northwest Christian's Julian Hernandez allowed four goals with 8 saves.
The Battlin' Bears will next play Warner Pacific in Portland, Ore. on Oct. 19. That action will kick off at 2 p.m.
