CALDWELL, Idaho – Jocelyn Cook-Cox blasted a 22-yard free kick through the fingertips of Corban keeper Elizabeth Brock in the 104th minute, lifting the College of Idaho to a 3-2 victory at Simplot Stadium.

After squandering a two-goal halftime edge, the Lady Yotes (7-3-2, 4-3-1 CCC) took advantage of a hard foul just outside the area – forcing the Warriors to play a man down. The edge lasted just four seconds – as Cook-Cox teed up a left-footed laser to the top-right corner – helping C of I to their first league win in extra time since 2015 and extending a home unbeaten streak to six matches.

The Yotes dominated the first 45 minutes – peppering the goal in the first third of the period. Cook-Cox nearly got C of I on the board in the eighth minute, as a 25-yard drive was punched over the cross bar by a leaping Brock.

The Warriors (7-7, 4-5) netminder could not stop the next two chances – as Jaelyn Yizar played a ball in the 14th minute to the middle of the pitch, with Emily Aspden touching the ball to a streaking Madison Glascock, who poked a shot from 30-yards out over the head of a charging Brock – bouncing into the goal for the lead.

Two minutes later, Cook-Cox settled a ball in the middle of the area and hit a low pass to the feet of Aspden – driving a 6-yard shot to the near post for a 2-0 edge.

Corban started the second half with a flurry in the first six minutes – as Lexi McQueary played a ball from the right side of the field to the top of the 18, finding the foot of Rylee McDonald for a quick strike. McQueary would do it herself to tie the game – collecting a failed clearance by the Yotes and ripping a turn-around 20-yard left-footed strike into the top corner of the goal.

C of I's defense clamped down the rest of the way – limiting the Warriors to just three shots over the final 55 minutes – but could not find the goal until the heroics from Cook-Cox.

The Yotes held a 17-8 edge in total shots, including 10 shots on frame, while taking five of the six corner kick opportunities.

C of I hits the road next weekend for two key match-ups in Portland – meeting Multnomah on Friday and Warner Pacific on Saturday.
