PORTLAND – The Multnomah University volleyball team fell to 10th-ranked Southern Oregon in straight sets, 25-19, 25-20, 25-20, on Jim Skagen Court on Friday night.
 
 
THE BASICS:

GAME SUMMARY:
  • The Raiders were strong offensively throughout the night, holding a .366 hitting percentage and finishing with the final three points in the first set.
  • Multnomah kept things close, rallying from a six-point deficit to come within two points but couldn't find the offense, tallying 18 errors on the night.
  • After starting the third set down 5-0, MU found some rhythm offensively before SOU pulled ahead with a 6-2 run.
 
KEY PERFORMERS:
  • Emma Wall led the Lions offensively, tallying a match high 14 kills while Madison Schuh added seven kills.
  • Marissa Rhodes tallied a match high 31 assists and finished with seven digs.
  • For SOU, Taylor Ristvedt collected 12 kills and Natalie James finished with 26 assists.
 
COMING UP NEXT:
The Lions return to Jim Skagen Court on Saturday as they host Oregon Tech on senior night beginning at 5 p.m.
