GREAT FALLS, Mont. – Argo women's soccer bounced back into the win column on Friday afternoon as a two-goal opening period carried the Argos to a 2-1 win over the Southern Oregon Raiders.

The Argos were dominant for the first 45 minutes as they outshot the Raiders, 9-3.

Senior Grace Ibsen put the Argos on top first as she netted a free kick from outside the 18 that went right over the keepers' hands, 1-0.

The Argos were able to add some insurance in the 43rd minute, which also proved to be the game-winner, as junior Eme McLaughlin handled a ball from Bri Wikert to net a shot from the left side of the 18 to the right corner to give the Argos a two-point advantage, 2-0.

Providence took the two-point lead into the locker room.

The second half proved to be much like the first 45 minutes as they Argos led in shots with seven to the Raiders' five.

Southern Oregon had their first taste of success in the 75th minute as they netted a goal from a header off a corner kick to bring the deficit down to one, 2-1.

However, the Raiders weren't able to find another shot before the game would end in the Argos favor.

The Argos committed a total of 16 shots, with 11 of them on target.
