PORTLAND, Ore. – Oregon Tech (5-5-1, 4-3 CCC) scored two second half goals to down Warner Pacific (5-6-1, 2-3-1 CCC) 3-2 Friday afternoon in Cascade Conference play at the Eastside Timbers Sports Complex.
"We knew that we would have to work hard against Warner to get a result," said Head Coach
Matt Munhall. "Warner is really starting to find their form and they put us under a lot of pressure today. I was proud of how our guys made the necessary adjustments and really dug out that victory after going down a goal. It was an emotional contest and we are glad we came out on top."
Tech scored the only goal in the first half as Trinidad Flores took a great cross from the right corner from Clayton Maves and scored giving the Owls the 1-0 lead into halftime.
Warner Pacific tied the game then scored again taking a 2-1 lead.
Tech's comeback was led by two freshmen as Anthony Santillan scored the game tying goal and Jack Warner scored the game winner to give OIT the 3-2 road win.
The Owls will look to carry that momentum into Saturday's matchup at Multnomah University at 1:00 pm.
