Head coach Mark Mandi recapped the day by saying, “We had another solid day. The weather was great, and it was nice to be local. This was the third weekend in a row of racing, which we rarely do. We tried to run together in packs early in the race then pick up the effort each lap. I thought they executed the plan well, although it’s a tough course and can beat you up no matter how you approach it. We have a number of students getting back from injuries they were dealing with during the summer or early in the season, so we are starting to get most of our team back into training and racing. Sacramento will be a great test for us before conference, and I think we can really take a big step forward on both sides.”
