Eagles Overpower the Walla Walla Wolves

Kirkland, Wash. – Northwest University (12-9, 8-4 CCC) beat Walla Walla University (0-13, 0-12 CCC) in three straight sets on Sunday evening.
A well-rounded effort from the Eagles put them up early. Hannah Lord and Sarah Warner combined for ten kills apiece, and Courteney Carr added 24 assists.
The Eagles finished the first set on a 12-4 run to win 25-18. They won the next two 25-17 and 26-16.
Northwest continued their conference winning streak with this win – their seventh in a row!
Northwest head coach Steve Bain commented, “Walla Walla brought terrific energy into the gym tonight and played the last point as hard as they did the first. For the most part, Our ladies did a good job of controlling our side of the net but I think we can do a better job of staying in the moment and bringing physical and mental energy to each point. It’s an area that we have marked for improvement and I know the match tonight reinforced that lesson.”
