BOISE, Idaho – Northwest Christian University lost to Boise State on Friday evening, 93-26, in what was an exhibition for the Beacons but a counting victory for the Broncos.

Boise State led wire-to-wire, building a 31-6 lead in the first-half. NCU went on to shoot 0-for-16 in the second quarter as BSU busted out to an insurmountable 57-7 halftime advantage.

The Beacons finished the night shooting just 13.6% from the field hitting eight field goals including four three-pointers. Morgan McKinney and Dani Baker led the team with six points apiece.

Head Coach Chad Meadors said, “We were in over our heads a bit and certainly didn’t play to our capabilities. I was pleased with how we handled ourselves in the third and fourth quarters. Although the scoreboard doesn’t indicate it, we did settle down a little bit and got into a bit of an offensive flow which was nice.”

The Broncos (3-0) had six players score in double-figures led by Ellie Woerner off the bench with 14 points and eight rebounds. Riley Lupfer added 12 points in just 14 minutes, hitting a pair of three-pointers as Boise State combined to shoot 11-for-22 from beyond the arc.

The Beacons (3-4) will have a nice 11-day layoff before returning after Thanksgiving to open Cascade Collegiate Conference action at home on November 27 against Corban University. Tip-off is scheduled for 5:30 p.m.
