HELENA, Mont. – Northwest University (7-4, overall) men’s basketball came up short against No. 22 Carroll College (9-0, overall) for the second time this season, falling 101-60.
 
The Eagles traveled to Montana to repeat a match up against Carroll College. The Eagles fell 70-59 earlier this year in the Eagle Classic Tournament. Carroll College was the only team to leave the Eagle Classic Tournament undefeated. The Fighting Saints have continued their winning streak extending it to nine wins.
 
Hussayn Ford, a junior from Northwest University added to his double-double count for the season with 16 points and 10 rebounds. Ford has now recorded seven double-doubles in eleven games. Josh Meyer has been another crucial contributor all year, bringing in 15 points and 9 rebounds tonight.
 
The Fighting Saints put on a shooting display, shooting 59% from the field. They were also 57% from the three point line. Jovan Sljivancanin led the Saints with 23 points and 11 rebounds. Dane Warp added 28 points and 7 rebounds on the night.
 
Northwest University head coach Jeff Drinkwine commented, “Carroll College is a very good team and we need to get back to what we do best.” The Eagles will be turning their focus to conference play next week as they host Multnomah University and Warner Pacific University.
