The following CCC student-athletes have been recognized as Red Lion Players of the Week for their performances during the period November 19-25.

Men’s Basketball

Southern Oregon’s Tristen Holmes has been named the Red Lion men’s basketball Player of the Week.

Holmes came up big when the No. 22-ranked Raiders needed him most, playing a key role in each of the team’s two victories over the week. The senior guard out of Medford, Ore. had the go-ahead three-point play against UC Merced on Tuesday, finishing with 13 points and nine rebounds in the triumph. Holmes would then provide the game-winning assist in the final seconds of the Raiders’ 71-68 victory over No. 21-ranked Menlo (NAIA Division 1), while tacking on another 12 points of his own in the win.

Honorable mention: Nate Bruneel, CI

Women’s Basketball

Khadija Neumeyer of Eastern Oregon has been chosen as the Red Lion women’s basketball Player of the Week.

Neumeyer, a senior out of Boise, Idaho, scored 29 total points in a trio of victories for the No. 7-ranked Mountaineers. Averaging over 30 minutes in each game, Neumeyer went 11-for-21 from the field and 5-for-7 from the charity stripe to help pace Eastern Oregon during its perfect week in Texas. An impact player in multiple facets, Neumeyer averaged just under 10 points a game during the week, while also averaging 7.7 boards over the three contests.
