Eagles Pounced On by Wildcats

Kirkland, Wash. – Northwest University (2-5) lost to Linfield College (2-4) on Monday night with a final score of 85-60.
Ellesse Fitzgerald and Miranda Langenhorst led the offensive attack for the Eagles, scoring ten points apiece. Langenhorst also added eight rebounds.
The Wildcats were led by Kory Oleson, who had 28 points and nine rebounds, and Molly Danielson, who had 24 points and ten rebounds.
The Wildcats were bruisers throughout the game, scoring 48 of their 85 points in the paint. They also shot much better than the Eagles from the field, shooting 52% to the Eagles’ 37%.
This was the Eagles’ final preseason game, as they look forward to starting conference play against Multnomah University on Friday night.
Northwest head coach Ken Crawford commented, “This was a disappointing night for the Lady Eagles. We need to continue to learn to play with more consistency and more energy. With that said, I really love this team and I do believe great days are ahead of us!”
