ASHLAND – Senior guard Tristen Holmes matched a season-high with 27 points and junior forward Tate Hoffman tied a career-high with 24 to push 13th-ranked Southern Oregon to a 100-89 victory over Northwest (Wash.) on Friday night at Lithia Motors Pavilion.

The Raiders (11-3 overall, 1-2 Cascade Conference) celebrated the first CCC game on their new home court with their highest shooting percentage in two years, connecting at a 57-percent clip (38-of-67) while hitting the century mark for the third time this season.

Holmes and Hoffman combined for 31 in the second half as SOU pushed a 37-33 advantage at the break to 18 points just five minutes into the period. Holmes shot 11-of-19 from the field with seven assists while going over 20 points for the third time in as many conference games, and Hoffman went 9-of-12 while opening both halves with a pair of 3-pointers.

SOU also benefited from season-best outings from its freshman guards: Teron Bradford scored 17 points and Tez Allen went for 14 points, eight rebounds, five assists and three steals. Jordan Hunt contributed 11 points, five assists and four blocks after blocking five shots earlier in the week against Simpson (Calif.).

Northwest stayed competitive thanks to its posts, Hussayn Ford and Josh Meyer. Both shot 10-of-17 with 10 rebounds; Meyer scored 25 and Ford had 23.

Nick Navarro cut the lead to 11 points on a 3-pointer with four minutes to play, but with 1:11 left Hoffman's second-chance bucket pushed the lead back to 94-76.

The Eagles fell to 9-6 and 1-2 in the CCC.

The Raiders will be home again at 7:30 p.m. Saturday against Evergreen (Wash.) before a two-week break.
