Kirkland, Wash. – Northwest University (10-9, 2-5 CCC) lost to Northwest Christian (10-3, 4-1 CCC) with the score of 81-73 to finish off their winless weekend.

The Eagles’ Hussayn Ford had a monster game in the loss, with 21 points, 17 rebounds, and two blocks. Ryan Ricks and Josh Meyer also scored and rebounded well for the Eagles. Ricks had 15 points and seven rebounds. Meyer added 12 points and eight rebounds, to go along with four assists.

Poor shooting from the Eagles had a huge impact in this game, with the Eagles shooting 7-26 from deep and 12-21 from the free throw line. The Beacons managed to convert on almost 40% percent of their 33 three-point attempts, which was a large hurdle for the Eagles to overcome.

Northwest head coach Jeff Drinkwine commented, “It was a tough, hard-fought game. It came down to little things at the end. We have to keep battling and clean a few things up in order to win games like that.”
