Red Lion Players of the Week Announced
The following CCC student-athletes have been recognized as Red Lion Players of the Week for their performances during the period February 5 - 11.
Justin Hammergren
Baseball – Pitcher of the Week
Justin Hammergren of Lewis-Clark State has been named the Red Lion Baseball Pitcher of the Week.
Hammergren, a junior from Tucson, Ariz., threw a total of six innings at LCSC’s win over Concordia University, and allowed only three hits while striking out six times.

Kasey Bailey
Baseball – Player of the Week
Kasey Bailey of Lewis-Clark State has been named the Red Lion Baseball Player of the Week.
Bailey, a senior outfield from Tacoma, Wash., played a hot hand in LCSC’s sweeping week with 13 total at bats and almost half returning as runs. Bailey finished the weekend with a batting average of 0.538 and a slugging average of 0.923.

Tate Hoffman
Men’s Basketball
Tate Hoffman of Southern Oregon has been named the Red Lion Men’s Basketball Player of the Week.
Hoffman, a junior forward from West Linn, Ore., had a career-high of 24 points with 10 rebounds on Tuesday at New Hope Christian. Following with 17 points and 16 rebounds (most for a Raider in five years) on Saturday for a Raider win against Corban. Hoffman finished the weekend with another strong victory over Northwest Christian with 23 points and seven rebounds on Sunday, while holding the CCC’s top scorer.

Josh Brown
Men’s Indoor - Field
College of Idaho’s Josh Brown has named the Red Lion Men’s Indoor Field Athlete of the Week.
Brown, a junior from Colfax, Wash., won the weight throw at the BSU Team Challenge, while recording not only a personal best mark in the shot put, but also the 2nd best throw in C of I history.

Alex Martin
Men’s Indoor - Track
College of Idaho’s Alex Martin has named the Red Lion Men’s Indoor Track Athlete of the Week.
Martin, a sophomore from Bend, Ore., hit the NAIA “A” mark in the 3,000-meters at the UW Open over the weekend. Martin finished 16th out of the 70 runners.

Chris Nile
Wrestling
Chris Nile of Montana State-Northern has been named the Red Lion Wrestler of the Week.
Nile, a sophomore from Forsyth, Mont., got a big upset win over UP’s No. 4 Lyons-Lopez this past weekend in Northern’s last dual of the season. Nile entered the dual as an unranked redshirt, yet ended as a helping hand in MSUN’s upset over their rival No. 6 Argos, 27-15.

Allison Williams
Softball – Pitcher of the Week
Carroll’s Allison Williams has been named the Red Lion Softball Pitcher of the Week.
Williams, a sophomore from Kalispell, Mont., went 2-1 with the lone loss coming to a 2-1 defeat against GSAC champion Vanguard in a 1-0 pitching dual. Williams allowed only one hit in the victory over Hope International. She was also huge on the offensive end where she batted .385 with five hits, including a pair of home runs, and the go-ahead dinger in the seventh against Menlo.

Ali Graham
Softball – Player of the Week
Ali Graham of Oregon Tech has been named the Red Lion Softball Player of the Week.
Graham, a junior first base from Chehalis, Wash. and 2016 CCC Player of the Year, got the 2018 season off to a big start going 10-of-14. Graham hit .714 with 5-RBI and scored 4- runs leading the Owls to a weekend sweep over #18 Simpson and NCAA DII Notre Dame de Namur.

Payton Parrish
Women’s Basketball
Eastern Oregon’s Payton Parrish has been named the Red Lion Women’s Basketball Player of the Week.
Parrish, a senior guard from Grandview, Wash., had a career night on Friday at Warner Pacific, tying the program record in a single game with 42 points while setting program and CCC records with 11-made 3-pointers. Parrish shot 17-for-30 from behind the arc in the two games, averaging 33.5 points per game and leading EOU to its 18th and 19th straight victories.

Molly Vitale-Sullivan
Women’s Indoor - Track
Molly Vitale-Sullivan of College of Idaho has been named the Red Lion Women’s Indoor Track Athlete of the Week.
Vitale-Sullivan, a sophomore from Pocatello, Idaho, hit the NAIA “A” standard in both the 3 and 5K races in Seattle this week. Facing nearly all NCAA DI runners in the 5K, Vitale-Sullivan broke the C of I school record and established the #1 mark in the NAIA this season. Additionally, she ran the third-fastest time in C of I history and the third-best time in the NAIA this season in the 3K.
