Red Lion Players of the Week Announced
The following CCC student-athletes have been recognized as Red Lion Players of the Week for their performances during the period February 12-18.
Brad Smith
Baseball – Pitcher of the Week
British Columbia’s Brad Smith has been named the Red Lion Baseball Pitcher of the Week.
Smith, a senior from Vancouver, B.C., gave up just four hits and a run over seven innings over No. 8 Hope International. Four days later, he threw 1.1 shutout innings of relief against NCAA Division II squad, Cal State Los Angeles.

Cory Voss
Baseball – Player of the Week
Lewis-Clark State’s Cory Voss has been named the Red Lion Baseball Player of the Week.
Voss, a junior catcher from Pueblo, Calif., helped LCSC to the first two victories of the week with four runs out of six atbats. Voss totaled 11 total hits over the four games at Antelope Valley, ending the weekend with a batting average of 0.579 and one homerun.

Mitchell Fink
Men’s Basketball
Oregon Tech’s Mitchell Fink has been named the Red Lion Men’s Basketball Player of the Week.
Fink, a sophomore point guard from Clackamas, Ore., led his team to a road sweep of #21 Eastern Oregon (92-77) and #4 College of Idaho (86-79) last weekend. Fink tallied 42 points, added eight rebounds, 13 assists, two steals and one blocked shot. It was the first road sweep of Eastern (20-7) and C of I (24-6) since Tech (21-9) won its third NAIA Division II National Championships in 2012.

Kristina George
Softball – Pitcher of the Week
Kristina George of Providence has been named the Red Lion Softball Pitcher of the Week.
George, a senior from Salt Lake City, Utah, helped get the Lady Argos to 2-0 start this year. George pitched two complete games with 15 strikeouts and an ERA of 0.58.

Sam Woodley
Softball – Player of the Week
Sam Woodley of Corban has been named the Red Lion Softball Player of the Week.
Woodley, a sophomore from Toutle, Wash., racked up 13 hits and hit .520 on the week in six wins, totaling 10 RBI. She blasted two home runs and recorded three doubles while scoring three runs.

Mariah Swanson
Women’s Basketball
Eastern Oregon’s Mariah Swanson has been named the Red Lion Women’s Basketball Player of the Week.
Swanson, a senior forward from Seattle, Wash., led the Mountaineers to a perfect 20-0 record in the conference and the team’s 21st-straight win defeating two tough opponents. Swanson had a career high of 22 points on Friday, shooting 66 percent from the field. The senior followed up with a 21-point game on Saturday against No. 10 SOU. With the Raiders nearly putting together a comeback, Swanson drew a charge late in the fourth to force the CCC’s top scorer, Remi Mejia, to foul out. She then followed up with a huge three pointer that shifted momentum back to the Mounties.
