The following CCC student-athletes have been recognized as Red Lion Players of the Week for their performances during the period February 19 - 25
 

Kris Jackson

Baseball – Pitcher of the Week
Corban’s Kris Jackson has been named the Red Lion Baseball Pitcher of the Week.

Jackson, a senior from Rathdrum, Idaho, tossed his second straight complete game, this time throwing a complete game shutout in a game-one win over Oregon Tech. in the victory, he allowed just two hits while striking out eight batters.

Mitch Robinson

Baseball – Player of the Week
Mitch Robinson of British Columbia has been named the Red Lion Baseball Player of the Week.

Robinson, a senior third baseman from Surrey, B.C., went 8-for-22, including three doubles, in five games for the UBC Thunderbirds, driving six runs. Three of those RBIs came against NCAA Division I school, San Diego. Robinson also drew three walks and scored four runs. UBC went 3-2 over the course of the week, including a 2-1 record in the leagueopening series at the College of Idaho. The T-Birds also notched a victory over Westmont (Calif.), which received votes in the pre-season NAIA Top-25 Poll.

Collin Malcolm

Men’s Basketball
Collin Malcolm of Warner Pacific has been named the Red Lion Men’s Basketball Player of the Week.

Malcolm, a junior forward from Ashland, Ore., averaged 19.5 points and six rebounds in two CCC Tournament home wins, shooting 60 percent from the field. On the defensive end, Malcolm held primary OIT scorers, Loomis and Fink, to six second-half points in the victory over the Owls.

Gabby Sandoval

Softball – Pitcher of the Week
Southern Oregon’s Gabby Sandoval has been named the Red Lion Softball Pitcher of the Week.

Sandoval, a sophomore from Anaheim, Calif., picked up her first save and won her sixth consecutive decision, improving to 7-2. Additionally, Sandoval has only allowed two earned runs over her last 25 innings pitched.

Tianna Sell

Softball – Player of the Week
Carroll’s Tianna Sell has been named the Red Lion Softball Player of the Week.

Sell, a junior catcher from Mead, CO, helped the Saints to 3-1 on the weekend against a pair of NCAA Division II teams. She was behind the plate for two of them. Offensively, she went 5-6 with three doubles and a home run on top of two additional runs and tallied five RBIs.

Stormee Van Belle

Women’s Basketball
Eastern Oregon’s Stormee Van Belle has been named the Red Lion Women’s Basketball Player of the Week.

Van Belle, a senior forward from Sunnyside, Wash., had two strong games in the first two rounds of the CCC Tournament, recording 21 points in each game while shooting 53 percent from the field. She finished with 20 rebounds, seven assists and six steals to help lead the Mountaineers to 23 straight wins and the CCC Finals.
