SALEM, Ore. – Joel Johnson surpassed 1000 career points in Friday's win over Multnomah, leading the Warriors to an 84-60 triumph over the Lions. The triumph gives Corban the home-and-away season sweep of the I-5 rival from the north.

"It was a good team win for our guys tonight," said Corban head coach Austin Johnson. "We were very unselfish and rebounded well. A lot of guys got minutes and the energy was good for the full 40 minutes. We'll need the same energy against a very good Warner Pacific team tomorrow night."

Corban came out flying on Friday evening in its final home-stand of the 2017-18 campaign, building a lead early in the first stanza en route to taking a 19-point lead into the locker rooms at the half.

By the halftime break, Johnson had already surpassed the 1000 career-points mark, and by the time the game had finished, Johnson totaled 15 points on a 6-for-10 shooting effort to go along with nine rebounds.

The second half saw Jett Sobotta and Chris Martin catch fire from deep, and the Warriors sank 10 long-range efforts in all en route to the 24-point win over Multnomah. Sobotta finished with 11 points on a 4-for-6 effort from the field to go with a trio of three-pointers. Also finishing in double-digits on the evening was Andrew Evans with 10 points, while Beau Roggenbach totaled eight points with a team-best 11 boards in the victory.

For the Lions, Beau Shockley tallied a team-leading 16 points in the defeat, while Brett Blackstock totaled 11 points in the loss.

Corban racked up 19 assists to only eight turnovers and shot 43.4% from the floor while holding Multnomah to just a 31.6% shooting mark overall on the night.

The Warriors (14-10, 8-8 CCC) return to the court on Saturday for Senior Night against Warner Pacific University. Tipoff is slated for 7:30 p.m., and the senior ceremony will begin prior to that ceremony.
