Lions to Honor Three Seniors and Recovering Ana Wakefield at Senior Night on Feb. 10
PORTLAND, Ore. – Senior players
Valerie Wakefield,
Tara Osburn, and
Anissa Behymer-Smith, along with junior
Ana Wakefield, who has missed the entire 2017-18 season while recovering from injuries received in a car crash back in the fall, will be honored at Multnomah University's final home women's basketball game on Saturday, Feb. 10.
All gate and concessions proceeds from both the women's game and the men's game which follows at 7:30 p.m. will be donated to help support
Ana Wakefield and her family in her recovery. Special fund-raising events will also be included in the evening's activities, so fans are encouraged to bring other cash or donations and gifts for the family as well.
Valerie Wakefield and Osburn are the first four-year players for the Lions, who are in their fourth season of intercollegiate competition since head coach
Tim Bieri started the program in 2014. Behymer-Smith is in her third year with the Lions. They will be recognized in pre-game ceremonies before the start of the women's game with Eastern Oregon University, which begins at 5:30 p.m.
