KLAMATH FALLS, Ore. - No. 22 Oregon Tech (29-11, 17-6 CCC) got great pitching on the way to a Cascade Conference doubleheader sweep of the University of Providence (7-25, 5-17 CCC) 5-2 in game 1 and 8-0 in game two Friday afternoon at the OIT Softball Complex.
Tech's
Loryn Williams improved to 8-1 in the circle with a complete game win in game one, and
Sarah Abramson threw a 1-hitter in game 2 as she improved to 10-4 in the mercy rule 5-inning win.

Tech scored the first run of the game in the bottom of the second inning on a
Shayna Ige RBI single.
UP tied the game at 1-1 in the top of the third on an Ashton Bell solo home run.
The hooter then opened things up with three runs in the bottom of the frame highlighted by
Kiahna Browns CCC Leading 10
th homer of the year, a two run blast that gave the Owls a 4-1 lead.
Tech made it 5-1 in the bottom of the fourth on an
Olivia Lethlean sacrifice fly.
A Karsten Williams RBI double in the 6
th made it 5-2 as the Owls held on for the win.

Irene McGuire,
Jacey Conklin and Ige all had two hits each to lead the Owls.
Samantha Hernandez had two hits to lead the Argos.
Game 2 Oregon Tech 8 U. of Providence 0
Abramson threw a complete game 1-hitter in game 2 facing only 17 batters with five strike-outs in the mercy rule 5-inning shortened game.
Tech scored twice in the 3
rd highlighted by a Lethlean RBI double.
Tech got back-to-back doubles from McGuire and
McKenna Armantrout in the 4
th to go up 3-0.
The Owls then won 8-0 with five runs in the 5
th on three hits including an
Ali Graham 2RBI homer. Graham finished with a game high three-hits in the game.
The two teams will wrap up the series with a doubleheader Saturday starting at 11:00 am at the OIT Softball Complex. Game one is a CCC counter, game 2 is a non-conference game.
Saturday will also be senior day with OIT's four seniors,
Kelly Scott,
Tara Moates,
Sahalie Doe, and
Rachael Delamare, being honored between games.
