Sophomore sprinter Arianna Daniel accounted for two of those victories in the 200 (24.72 seconds) and 400 (57.09), hitting an NAIA 'A' standard in the former by three-hundredths of a second a week after she did the same in the latter. She also teamed with Savannah Greenwade, Margot Hamman and Lindsey Bonney to clock an 'A' of 47.40 in the 4x100 relay, moving to No. 8 on the NAIA list and improving the second-fastest time in SOU history. Two other Raiders picked up two field wins apiece on the day: Lauren McGowne in the women's high jump and long jump, and Justin Turner in the men's high jump and pole vault. McGowne captured the No. 1 spot on the Cascade Conference performance list with a personal best of 5 feet 3 inches in the high jump and strengthened her lead in the long jump with a season best of 17-9 ¾. Turner notched season bests in both events, going 6-4 ¾ in the high jump and 14-7 ¼ in the pole vault. Elsewhere in the field, Zach Beltz replaced his old NAIA 'A' mark in the long jump by going 23-10, the fifth-best in the NAIA, a day after reaching the 'B' standard in the triple jump. Kevin Tunnell topped a 23-person field in the shot put by going 48-8 ¼ and was second in the discus at 140-9. In the men's races, freshman Will Gross recorded a 1 ½-second personal best of 50.03 to win the 400 and qualify for the CCC Championships. Eli Chapman was the 100-meter runner-up in 10.83 and third in the 200 in 22.08, and Kevin Poteracke placed second in the 800 in 1:57.32. The men's 4x100 team of Chapman, Jeremiah Emershy, Aidan Tank and Vega won in 41.63 and missed upgrading to an 'A' standard by just a tenth of a second. In the women's sprints, Hamman won with a new best of 12.30 – which ranks second in the CCC – while Erika Soderstrom (12.45) and Bonney (12.46) also recorded their best times of the season. Behind Daniel, Greenwade also clocked a pair of new season-bests in the 200 (25.26) and 400 (57.91) to move to Nos. 2 and 3, respectively, on those conference performance lists. The Raiders will complete preparations for the CCC Championships next weekend, appearing at the Pacific Twilight on Friday and the Oregon State High Performance Meet on Friday and Saturday.
