The following CCC student-athletes have been recognized as Red Lion Players of the Week for their performances during the period April 2 - 8.

Braeden Allemann

Baseball – Pitcher of the Week
British Columbia’s Braeden Allemann has been named the Red Lion Baseball Pitcher of the Week.

Allemann, a senior from Surrey, B.C., recorded a save and a no-decision in his two appearances against the No. 4 Lewis-Clark State Warriors this weekend. In Friday's first game, Allemann, who is pitching at the collegiate level for the first time this season in addition to his role as a catcher, picked up the save as UBC held off a ninth-inning comeback attempt by LCSC to win 7-6. Then in the series finale on Sunday, he gave up just two hits and one run over five innings in his first career start. Allemann struck out nine batters and didn't walk any as UBC won 2-1. He is now 2-3 on the season with two saves, and an ERA of 3.00

Josh Kallstrom

Baseball – Player of the Week
Oregon Tech’s Josh Kallstrom has been named the Red Lion Baseball Player of the Week.

Kallstrom, a junior first base man from Ephrata, Wash., had a great week in leading Oregon Tech to their longest win streak of the year now at four games as the Owls have won six of their last seven games. He now leads the NAIA-West group in the following categories: batting average (.417), slugging percentage (.705), hits (65), doubles (19) and total bases stolen (10). Kallstrom is tied for the lead in home runs with eights as well.

Jason Bracken

Men’s Outdoor - Field
Corban’s Jason Bracken has been named the Red Lion Men’s Outdoor Field Athlete of the Week.

Bracken, a senior from Battle Ground, Wash., set a new school record with a toss of 155’ 10” in the discus, finishing only behind NCAA DII competitors in the John Knight Twilight meet.

TJ Wright

Men’s Outdoor - Track
Northwest Christian’s T.j. Wright has been named the Red Lion Men’s Outdoor Track Athlete of the Week.

Wright, a senior from Eugene, Ore., earned an “A” Standard qualification and posted the No. 3 time in the NAIA. Over the weekend, Wright won the nine-athlete field including DI and II athletes. For the victory, he edged a DI runner from University of Portland by 0.25 seconds.

Sabrina Boyd

Softball – Pitcher of the Week
Corban’s Sabrina Boyd has been named the Red Lion Softball Pitcher of the Week.

Boyd, a senior from Pleasant Hill, Ore., didn’t allow a run in two complete-game performances against Providence, allowing just five total hits over the course of 11 innings while striking out 11 in the pair of wins.

Shevan DeFreitas

Softball – Player of the Week
Shevan Defreitas of Eastern Oregon has been named the Red Lion Softball Player of the Week.

Defreitas, a junior first baseman from Waipahu, HI, recorded another solid weekend with 8 hits in 13 at-bats including 2 home runs and 5 RBI to lead EOU to 3-of-4 wins.

Bailey Dell

Women’s Outdoor - Field
Bailey Dell of Northwest Christian has been named the Red Lion Women’s Outdoor Field Athlete of the Week.

Dell, a senior from La Salle, Ore., improved her NAIA-leading “A” standard mark to 46.74 meters in the javelin. She won a nine-athlete event that included NAIA and DII competitors. After this weekend she ranks No. 1 in NAIA by over 11 feet.

Arianna Daniel

Women’s Outdoor - Track
Southern Oregon’s Arianna Daniel has been named the Red Lion Women’s Outdoor Track Athlete of the Week.

Daniel, a sophomore from Elk Grove, Calif., won the 400-meter race in 57.43 seconds, the top time in the CCC this season. She then went on to help SOU’s 4x100-meter relay team to an NAIA “A” mark of 47.57, the second fastest time in school history. She now tops the CCC’s performance lists in the 200-meter and 400-meter.
