The following CCC student-athletes have been recognized as Red Lion Players of the Week for their performances during the period August 20-26.
 
 
Volleyball-Attacker
Oregon Tech’s Chase Bohman has been chosen as the Red Lion volleyball Attacker of the Week.
 
Bohman, a senior from Creswell, Ore. helped lead her team to a 5-1 record on the week recording 99 total kills and a .259 hitting average from her OH position. Bohman’s 4.5 kills per game lead the CCC headed into the first week of conference play.
 
Honorable mention: Taylor Ristvedt, SOU
 
Volleyball-Defender
 Oregon Tech’s Lindsey Sampson has been named the Red Lion volleyball Defender of the Week.
 
Sampson, a freshman from Folsom, Calif., led the Lady Owls in digs (93) and service aces (23) in six matches on the week. The breakout performance included a school record (9) service aces in the win over Mills College.
 
Honorable mention: Kiley Mcmurtrey, EOU
 
Volleyball-Setter
College of Idaho’s Marija Djonovic has been named the Red Lion volleyball Setter of the Week.
 
Djonovic, a senior from Podorica, Montenegro, led the Yotes with 162 assists, averaging 10.80 in four contests at the Big Sky Challenge. The performance for Djonovic also included 44 digs and 7 blocks.

Women’s Soccer-Offense
College of Idaho’s Cameron Coyle has been named the Red Lion women’s soccer Offensive Player of the Week.
 
Coyle, a sophomore from Boise, Idaho led the Yotes with 3 goals in two wins against Sierra Nevada and Simpson (Calif.).  The performance surpassed her point total from all of 2017.

Women’s Soccer-Defense
Evergreen’s Daphne Hobbs has been named the Red Lion women’s soccer Defensive Player of the Week.
 
Hobbs, a freshman from Redway, Calif. was pressed into service at goalkeeper and was stellar in two matches for the Geoducks. Primarily a defender as a high school player, Hobbs collected 17 saves - including 13 in the season opener against Ottawa (Ariz.)
 
Honorable mention: Cydni Cottrell, EOU

Men’s Soccer-Offense
Corban’s Kohl Hurtado has been named the Red Lion men’s soccer Offensive Player of the Week.
 
Hurtado, a freshman from Beaverton, Ore., scored in both his first and second collegiate matches for the Warriors in a pair of shutout wins. His goal on Saturday night was the game-winner vs. Linfield. 
 
Honorable mention: Alex Gutierrez, EOU
 
Men’s Soccer-Defense
Corban’s Marcos Ochoa   has been named the Red Lion men’s soccer Defensive Player of the Week.
 
Ochoa, a freshman from Salem, Ore., played a crucial role as backup GK in two wins for the Warriors. Against Spring Arbor, he made four crucial saves to preserve the 3-0 win and then recorded a shutout against Linfield, racking up seven saves in the 2-0 victory.
