KLAMATH FALLS, Ore. – No. 10 ranked Southern Oregon University extended its win streak over Oregon Tech to 31 as the Raiders downed Oregon Tech 3-0, (25-21, 25-22, 25-16) Tuesday night in Cascade Conference play. SOU moves to 5-0 in CC Play and a perfect 12-0 to start the year. Tech slips to 7-5 overall and 2-3 in CCC play with all three losses coming to Top 25 ranked teams.

"It was a tough fought match tonight. We stuck to the game plan well and served tough, but missed too many to beat such a great team," said OIT Head Coach Andrew Clifton. "I thought the mistakes we were making are fixable and we will continue to grow each week. I was especially impressed with Amanda and Melody Edwards play tonight and I am looking forward to continuing to get better with their hitting and blocking. Although a tough loss, we will bounce back tomorrow and start to prepare for Multnomah and Warner Pacific."

Southern Oregon stayed on the attack most of the night led by Mikayla Hoyt and her 12 kills. Elliot Cook added 8 kills in the win with Nila Lukens and Dani Johnson each adding 6 kills. Overall SOU had a kill percentage of .223 while holding the home team Owls to just .185.

Tech was led by Senior Chase Bohman who had 11 kills and 8-digs on the night.

Tech's defense was tough with a 9-6 edge in blocks led by Freshman Melody Edward who had a game high six.

Southern Oregon served the ball very well with a 6-1 advantage in aces on the night.

Up next: The Lady Owls will look to rebound as they host Multnomah University this Friday at 7:00 pm and Warner Pacific on Saturday at 5:00 pm with both matches at Danny Miles Court.
