Women's Soccer Downs No. 19 Eastern Oregon in Cascade Opener
GREAT FALLS, Mont. – Argo women's soccer tallies the first loss for No. 19 Eastern Oregon on Friday as they improve to 3-2 on the season following an overtime thriller, 2-1.
The Mountaineers controlled much of the first period as they outshot the Argos 6-4 including a seventh shot that found the net during the 43
rdminute as Cailin Koupal sent a ball to Kaitlyn McLeod who nets a slow dribbler to put the Mountaineers up, 1-0 at the break.
The Argos came out firing in the second half as they led the Mountaineers in shots after the break, 4-2. Providence's
Grace Ibsen netted the Argos's fifth shot of the half off a rebound to tie the match up at 1 all. The Argos continued their ball control as they continued to outshoot Eastern Oregon, 6-2, as the match headed to extra minutes.
In overtime, the Argos only needed two shots as
Jenni Qualm handled a ball from half-field to
Malena Lennon who headed the ball in to give the Argos the overtime win.
The Argos led the Mountaineers in shots, 17-11, including shots on goal, 7-6. Both squads garnered six corner kicks and five saves.

The Argos will head to the Beaver State as they will take on Northwest Christian University on September 21 and Corban University on September 22.
