Northwest University Hires Pam Fink as New Softball Head Coach
KIRKLAND, Wash. – Gary McIntosh, Northwest University's director of athletics, announced the hiring of the new head softball coach Pam Fink. Coach Fink is coming to Northwest University after coaching 25 years at Oklahoma Baptist University, where she holds the record for the most wins in Bison softball history. In 2017, she took her team to the NCCAA National Championship.
Gary McIntosh commented, “We are excited to announce Pam Fink as our new softball coach. From the beginning of our search, our goal was to find a coach who has demonstrated success spiritually, academically, and on the field with her team, and we have found that in Pam. She brings a wealth of knowledge to our softball program, and I know she will make an immediate impact. Pam has a passion for developing student athletes on and off the field, and we look forward to her leading our program.”
Pam Fink responded, “I want to thank the AD Gary McIntosh and provost Jim Heugel for this tremendous opportunity to be a part of the NU family! I appreciate all the work Bill Dillon has done during this transition, and I’m excited to work with him to move the Eagle softball program forward.
I thank Christ for leading me to this wonderful university. I’m thrilled to get started and work to create a program the players, parents, and university can be proud of!”
Head coach Pam Fink will be the third coach in the program’s history. She is replacing Montessa Califano, who served as the Northwest University coach from 2016-2018. Coach Califano had a record of 37-94 as an Eagle.
