The first half was evenly contested as both teams had their chances to score, but neither side could find the net. Both sides recorded 7 shots each in the opening 45 minutes as the wind played a role, effecting shots and passes alike. The Raiders (6-2-0, 3-0 CCC) came out strong after the break, taking only 27 seconds to grab the only lead of the night. The goal came by senior Mitchel Pinney, his second of the season, when he finished the ball inside the six-yard box in the 46th minute. Southern Oregon doubled their lead with 19 minutes left in the match as Pinney added his name to the score sheet for the second time. The senior capitalized on a one-on-one opportunity against senior keeper Aidan Wright. Both teams battled hard all night, with 29 fouls between the rivals. Wright finished the match with six saves and Raiders goalkeeper Wyatt Zabinski made five stops. SOU's Junior Rivas and Ahmon Afenegus, along with the Mountaineers' freshman Cristian Miramontes, paced all players with three goals apiece.
