Rocky grabs 3-0 victory over College of Idaho
BILLINGS, Mont., – The No. 14 ranked Battlin' Bears (6-2, 2-1 CCC) earned a 3-0 victory over the College of Idaho (1-3-1, 0-3 CCC) Saturday afternoon at Herb Klindt Field.
The Battlin' Bears scored first 35 minutes into the 1st period. Nolan Sherwood found the back of the net off an assist from Mason Luse.
Rocky would score again in the 66th minute as Sky Swenson would weave through College of Idaho's defenders on his way to an unassisted goal.
A QuiQui Garcia diving header in the 85th minute would wrap up the game for the Battlin' Bears.
Rocky's offensive attack controlled the entire pace of the match. The Battlin' Bears out shot the Yotes 27-11.
Rocky's goalkeeper Kristofer Wennin allowed no goals and four saves. College of Idaho's goalkeeper Parker Billings would secure 13 saves with 3 goals allowed.
Rocky will travel to College Place, Wash. to face off against Walla Walla next Friday. The match will begin at 4 p.m.
