EUGENE, Ore. – The Northwest Christian University volleyball team continued to struggle on Saturday, dropping their sixth-straight match, falling to No. 12 College of Idaho, 25-19, 25-20, 25-16.

For the Yotes (11-5, 6-2 CCC), the victory pushed them ahead of Corban into third place in the CCC standings, keeping pace with conference-leading No. 9 Southern Oregon and No. 17 Eastern Oregon who were both winners on Saturday as well.

The Beacons (6-8, 1-6 CCC) held leads in both of the first two sets, but were never quite able to solve the attack of the Yotes which hit .296 with a 44-29 advantage in kills. NCU did hold an 8-5 advantage in blocks, but hit just .109 on the afternoon.

Taylor Alexander led the Yotes with 14 kills, hitting .458 as she committed just three errors. Ashley Pagan added ten kills and 11 digs for a double-double, chipping in a match-high four service aces as well. Marija Djonovic led all players with 31 assists while Drew Dobney tied for the lead with 12 digs.

NCU was led by Megan Van Marter who once again went without committing an attack error, hitting a match-high .538 with seven kills and four blocks. Kasey Campbell added six kills while Mary Grace Blaser contributed four. Makenna Northern earned a team-best 12 assists while Kayla Olson led the Beacons with 12 digs and three aces.
