KLAMATH FALLS, Ore. – Freshman Amanda Seward (pictured) scored the game winner in the 88th minute lifting Oregon Tech (5-2-2, 2-1-1 CCC) past Corban (6-4-0, 3-2-0) 1-0 in Cascade Conference action on a windy Saturday afternoon at the OIT Soccer Field.

The two teams played a balanced game with good Keeper play prevalent throughout. Tech's Keeper Jenna Stiehr picked up the shutout win with five saves while her counterpart Elizabeth Brock was the tough luck loser as she was also credited with five saves for the game.

After 87 minutes it looked like the two teams were headed for overtime, but just thirty seconds later Kylie Cowell slotted a great pass to Seward who in stride beat the Warrior keeper scoring the bottom left of the net with the game winner. It was Seward's second goal of the year.

"Team win. Team win. Team win," said Head Coach Brandon Porter. "We can't emphasize that enough.  Fantastic level of focus and attention to detail in our game plan to defend our home field.  Great finish by Amanda and outstanding performance collectively on defense. Very proud of our ladies and now we all can shift our focus to NCU.

Tech held a 16-11 advantage in shots and a slight 6-5 edge in shots on goal.

Up Next, Oregon Tech will host Northwest Christian at 11:00 am Sunday at the OIT Soccer Field while Corban travels to Ashland, Oregon for match-up with Southern Oregon also at  11:00 am.
