ROCKLIN, Calif. – The Oregon Tech women's soccer team finished off a 2-0 road trip Monday afternoon with a 3-1 non-conference win over William Jessup University on Jessup Field. Tech improves to 2-1 on the season with WJU slipping to 2-2.

"We are always happy with a 2-0 road trip," said Head Coach Brandon Porter. "I thought we finally were able to challenge ourselves to play with more bite on the attacking end and also learn how to close out a game late.  Now we need to prepare for two really quality opponents at home against UC Merced and Menlo."

The Warriors took an early 1-0 lead when Janelle Schuette scored on a header off a corner kick just 3:47 into the game.

The Owls quickly answered as Haley Janky scored the first of two goals on the day in the 26th minute. Tech's Hailey Satyna's shot hit the cross bar and defected right to Hanky who finished from 14' feet out to tie the game at 1-1.

Hanky then headed in (Pictured courtesy William Jessup Sports Information) a perfect corner kick off the foot of Cassidy Gosvener as the Hooter took a 2-1 lead in the 34th minute.

Senior Chelsea Entrambasaguas finished off the OIT scoring as she took a Karah McCulley pass and scored in the 42nd minute, giving the Owls a 3-1 lead and eventual win as neither team would muster much offense in the second half of the game.

Up Next: The Lady Owls will then return for their home opener on Friday, September 7 at 4:00 pm against University of California, Merced
