KLAMATH FALLS, Ore. – The Oregon Tech men's soccer team evened its Cascade Conference record to 3-3 and 4-5-1 overall with a 3-0 shutout win over Northwest Christian (2-7-1,1-4-1 CCC) Sunday at the OIT soccer Field.

"Today was a good response to the tough defeat yesterday," said OIT Head Coach Matt Munhall. "The boys bought into the game plan and made the most of their chances today. Still more work to do over the next few weeks to climb the table, but we are playing well, and plan to continue that trend."

Tech took a 1-0 lead in the 37th minute as Daniel Blessinger sent a perfect ball to Joey Driessen (Pictured) who scored in the middle of the goal from inside the box. It was Driessen's second goal of the year.

Senior Lodewijk Bloemzaad made it 2-0 in the 57th minute as he scored off a nice pass from Trinidad Flores giving Bloemzaad his fourth goal of the year.

Benito Torres-Mata made it 3-0 as he scored his first goal of the year off a deflection into the bottom left of the goal in the 65th minute.

The OIT defense was tough, only allowing 9-shots in the game, and only 4 on goal while the OIT offense kept the pressure on all day taking 21-shots, 12-on goal.

Up next, OIT will head to Portland, Oregon for games at Warner Pacific and Multnomah Friday and Saturday respectively.
