Multnomah Defeats Linfield 1-0 in Road Contest

PORTLAND – The Multnomah University men’s soccer team defeated an NCAA opponent for the first time in program history, downing Linfield College 1-0 on the road on Friday night.

GAME SUMMARY:
- The pressure was on for the Lions early as keeper Manuel Guillermo-Olivares tallied three saves within the first six minutes of the contest.
- MU kept composure, firing off a few shots of their own before Noe Favila collected the ball inside the box, scoring from six yards out for his second goal of the season.
- Linfield tallied 11 shots in the second half but only managed two on target.
KEY PERFORMERS:
- Guillermo tallied six saves on the night, earning his second clean sheet of the season.
- Victor Lujan totaled three shots on the night while Marcus Krause hit two shots.
